Le Havre’s luck’s about to change
----------------------------------------------------------------------

TEAM NEWS
Le Havre’s best midfielder, Romain Saiss, missed their 2-2 draw at Tours last weekend. He remains doubtful. If he’s out, coach Erick Mombaerts is likely to name an unchanged side after that encouraging stalemate at Stade de la Vallee du Cher.
Creteil have a full squad to pick from save for reserve goalkeeper Rachid Bachiri. Leading scorer Faneva Andriatsima was surprisingly rested for their home game against Troyes last weekend. He should return to the starting XI after Creteil failed to score without him (3-0 defeat).

MATCH PREVIEW
In the post-match press conference after Le Havre’s last home fixture, manager Erick Mombaerts was almost in tears. He had watched his side take the lead and dominate for most of the game only to concede two late goals and lose 2-1 to Angers. He looked like a broken man. It then got worse when they crashed out of the French Cup at amateurs St Amand the following week.
Le Havre pulled themselves together in impressive fashion to draw 2-2 at Tours last weekend. Le Havre led twice but just couldn’t hold on for victory, but the manner of their performance gave the clear impression their luck will change soon.
The truth is Le Havre have played better than their league position (16th) suggests most of this season; they just need a lucky break to climb to a level befitting the standard of their performances. This weekend looks the ideal turning point, because Creteil are beatable visitors. Jean-Luc Vasseur’s side lost 3-0 at home to Troyes last weekend and, there were weaknesses in the Creteil team that Le Havre will be able to exploit.
The hosts have picked up just 8pts from a possible 21 in front of their own fans this season. Back them to add another three to the tally this weekend.

HEAD TO HEAD
Le Havre are unbeaten at home to Creteil – their all-time record is W4-D4-L0. Three of the last four head-to-heads have ended 1-1.
