MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Bristol City have made a fine start to their Championship campaign, riding high in fourth place after 11 matches. The Robins won 3-1 at Ipswich before the break and are unbeaten since losing 2-1 to Birmingham back in mid-August, which remains their only defeat in all competitions this season. City have won four and drawn two of their last six league encounters.
In contrast, things have not been going too well for Nigel Clough’s Burton. Albion have lost their last two Championship matches by the same 4-0 scoreline to Aston Villa and Wolves respectively, both at home. On a more positive note, though, the Brewers have drawn 0-0 in two of their last three on the road.
In truth, this is a game that Bristol will be looking to win comfortably. The Robins are strong at home – winning three and drawing two of their five Championship matches on their own patch – and I believe they will chalk up another three points here.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE – 2:0

Bristol City have won by more than one goal at home five times in all competitions this season. Their last two have ended in 2-0 wins, and I fancy City to seal another 2-0 victory on Friday.

HEAD TO HEAD
Last season, this corresponding fixture ended in a goalless draw at Ashton Gate. At the Pirelli Stadium, however, Bristol City ran out narrow 2-1 winners in August 2016.
