Bees to fly to three points on home turf

TEAM NEWS
Henrik Dalsgaard is a doubt while Alan Judge is still recovering from a long-term leg injury for Dean Smith’s Brentford.
Nigel Clough’s Burton Albion will make the trip to Griffin Park without striker Liam Boyce, who has yet to make his debut for the Brewers after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Despite losing 2-0 at Cardiff at the weekend, Brentford are still a side in terrific form. Prior to defeat in South Wales, the Bees had not lost in the Championship since mid-September. Dean Smith’s men currently occupy 13th place in the table on 22 points from 17 games having won five, drawn seven and lost five.
Burton Albion have struggled for any kind of consistency all season. After beating Millwall away from home before the international break, the Brewers were beaten 3-1 at home by high-flying Sheff Utd last Friday night. That defeat, which was their tenth of the campaign, leaves Albion in 22nd place.
Brentford have picked up just two league wins at Griffin Park this season, but they are extremely hard to beat having drawn five and lost only one. The Bees have won two of their last three on home soil and drawn the other, and they should have no problems in this one. I’m backing Brentford to take all three points on Tuesday.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE – 3:1

Four of Brentford’s six league and cup wins have come by more than one goal. Last time out at home, Dean Smith’s men eased past Leeds 3-1 while Burton Albion lost against Sheff Utd by the same scoreline on Friday. I’m predicting Brentford to win this 3-1, too.

HEAD TO HEAD
When these two last met, Brentford stormed to a 5-3 win at the Pirelli Stadium back in March.
