Birmingham City: Spectacle against Queens Park Rangers ( Recent Form: L L D W W )

Birmingham City won 3-4 at Queens Park Rangers last Saturday after a 1-4 score. The team of manager Garry Monk was the first half on Loftus Road lord and master. Attacker Che Adams personally made sure that Birmingham City took a 0-4 lead after forty-two minutes. In between, Harlee Dean added another penny in the bag by scoring once. When just before half time Matt Smith provided QPR for 1-4, it did not look like the tension in the match was right back, but when Smith scored again three minutes after the break, it was a race again. Cousins' real line-up goal ten minutes before time brought back the tension completely. When Freeman was overtaken in injury time, the home team actually got a penalty. This was missed by Wells so it was not 4-4. Manager Garry Monk with his reaction afterwards: 'Where will I start? This was a fantastic competition for the public. We played a great game in the first half and are now at a 0-4 lead. The hat trick of Adams was fantastic. We were aggressive and won a lot of duels. When we took a counterpoint just before half-time, that was a small downer. Football is, as in the second half, also a mental game. We could not bring what we showed in the first half. We can thank Camp for stopping the penalty. Otherwise it becomes 4-4. Eventually a satisfied feeling prevails. We already have the same number of points as last season, winning for the second time in a row and still participating in the race for the playoffs. '

Bolton Wanderers: Hard times ( Recent Form: L L D L L )

For Bolton Wanderers it's tough times in the Championship. With the week, the League One seems to be getting closer. Last weekend there was a defeat again. This time, Preston North End was too strong for the team of manager Phil Parkinson. In a game that actually had to be won, 1-2 was lost in-house. Even before half-time, the hosts faced a 0-1 deficit by a goal from Alan Browne. When ten minutes before time Tom Barkhuizen made it 0-2, the game was actually decided. Clayton Donaldson's first goal in the last minute came way too late. Bolton only gained two points out of the last seven games. On Boxing Day there was another important victory against rival Rotherham United, but for this it was also miserable and gloomy and managed to win only three points in thirteen games. Bolton Wanderers seems to be heading for relegation towards the end of the season. There is no money in the club and the times that purchases are critical hits is a thing of the past. A player with the similar qualities of Jay-Jay Okocha will not soon arrive at the University of Bolton Stadium. Nevertheless, the backlog in the safe twenty-first place can still be bridged. Rotherham United is only four points ahead, but it is clear that time is running out for Bolton Wanderers.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, everything different from a regular home victory for Birmingham City would surprise me. There is a clear difference in quality between these two teams. That's why I predict: Birmingham City -1.
